Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron Clos de Vougeot 2005 Smagekasser Cloudy’s Vineyard blev anlagt iVinous Medium red. Rather closed but pure on the nose, hinting at dark berries, plum, mint and menthol. Then sweet but firm in the mouth, with flavors of minerals, earth, game and menthol. Seems low in acidity for the vintage, but finishes with firm tannic spine and spicy persistence. Powerful but not at all rustic.
