2023 Roter Riesling, Kabinett Trocken, Weingut Paul Keßler Veneto BoysenberryRoter Riesling is a mutation of the more famous Riesling grape and grows mostly only in the Rheingau and a few isolated places in Austria. Despite the name, the grape is either white or pink and the wine made from the grape is slightly drier and more mineral than Riesling Classic. Roter Riesling also has a whiff of petroleum, which Riesling is characterized by and which connoisseurs greatly appreciate.
