Gigantoraptor erlianensis Variante:Pintado a mano approximately 214 to 204 millionGigantoraptor erlianensis was an enormous oviraptorosaurian theropod dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous of China, known from fossil remains recovered from the Iren Dabasu Formation in the Erlian region of Inner Mongolia. Formally described in 2007 by Xu, Tan, Wang, Zhao and Tan, this taxon represents one of the most extraordinary forms within Oviraptorosauria, a group of maniraptoran theropods generally characterised by lightweight skulls, toothless
